You are advised to book activities well in advance. You can use our Activity Booking Form or you can telephone us but bookings made in this manner must be confirmed on a booking form.

Booking forms will automatically be sent to you well in advance of your visit.

HIGH ROPES

This ten element High Ropes through the trees is proving immensely popular.

The course runs through the woods, with varied challenging sections to traverse between the trees. It starts a few feet above ground level and finishes at elevation of over ten metres with an exciting descent on a zip-wire run of almost 100 metres.

Safety is our primary concern and the course utilises dual clip safety harnesses throughout and is closely monitored by qualified supervisors.

FOR SAFETY REASONS USERS MUST BE AT LEAST 1.2 METRES HIGH TO THE SHOULDER..

TRAVERSE WALL

Our double sided Traverse Wall has three zig zag faces on each side giving a full length of 20 metres with safety fall matting along the full length and only requires leader supervision.

CYCLO-CROSS

A set course in the woods using five BMX bikes, a leader from the group must be present. Best suited to persons over 11 years old.

NATURE TRAILS

Two new nature trails in the woodlands are now in use and involve tree and leaf identification. Group leaders are supplied with answer sheets.

AIRSOFT RIFLE RANGE

We now have airsoft rifles which fire low velocity plastic pellets instead of lead.

The range is fully enclosed. Maximum advised number per hour is 20 persons.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE OVER 1 METRE IN HEIGHT

All Paccar Instructors / Supervisors have been trained on the use of this activity

You are welcome to supply your own instructors.

Please also note that the Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) states “for each young person under the age of 18 years of age, the leader of the activity must obtain written permission from each young person's parent/guardian before undertaking the activity, or series of activities”.

CLIMBING AND ABSEIL WALL

THE WALL HAS BEEN MODIFIED AND IS NOW 9 METRES HIGH WITH A NEW ABSEIL AREA (4 METRS HIGHER).

The wall can be used in the evenings as it is floodlit. Advised maximum number is 15 users per hour.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE OVER 1 METRE IN HEIGHT

All Paccar Instructors / Supervisors for this activity are qualified to the requirements contained in the Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR).  

There may not always be an Instructor available qualified to Guide standard but you will always have the option to use Scout qualified Instructors.

ARCHERY RANGE

The range is fully netted. Advised aximum number per hour is 20 persons.

FOR SAFETY REASONS ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE OVER 1 METRE IN HEIGHT

All Chalfont Instructors / Supervisors for this activity are qualified to Grand National Archery Society standards.

You are welcome to supply your own instructors but proof of qualifications will be required.

Crate Stacking

CRATE STACKING

The new crate stacking is an excellent team building game suitable for 6 years old upward, dependant on height.

Younger users build a double stack of crates and older members go for a single stack.

CROSSBOWS

We now have six mini crossbows with sucker darts which are very suitable for younger users (5 years +)

Adventure Area
Our Adventure Area is aimed at the younger children with climbing, walkover, trampoline and airial runway. This activity requires Leader/adult supervision and is not suitable for persons aged over 11 years of age.
Ball Games
Volleyball, Basketball and Table Tennis are available to set up on the Main Field for your use free of charge. A deposit is required for Bats & Balls borrowed.

Boule sets are available from the office at 50p per hour.
Skittle Alley

Our indoor skittle alley has two lanes. Great fun whatever the weather or time of day.

Traverse Wall

Hike Routes
A selection of routes is available from the office. OS Maps available either to purchase or we have a limited number for loan.
Orienteering
Three courses of various lengths are set out around the site; also simple compass trails and routes are available.
Pedal Go-Karts
Five karts are available for use on a purpose built track, helmets are provided. This activity requires Leader/adult supervision.
Pioneering
We have an extensive range of pioneering equipment and it is available on a daily basis free of charge. We also have the necessary equipment for an aerial runway.
Rabbit Run
A series of 2ft (60cm) diameter underground tunnels. A surface trial tunnel a also available. There are built-in escape hatches.

This activity requires Leader/adult supervision.
Treasure Hunts / Quizzes
These are available from the office.
Wide Games
Although there is extensive camping in the woods there is still a very large area away from camp sites that is ideal for wide games etc.
