Paccar Scout Camp - Chalfont Heights is an invaluable resource for schools.

The site is regularly used by all school age children up to and including sixth form, usage can be part day to multiple days, using buildings or campsites for accommodation.

Groups can be any size, as we can cater for up to 2000 people at a time.

Training & Teambuilding Days

More and more organisations are taking advantage of Paccar Scout Camps facilities for staff training and team building days with very positive results. The combination of training facilities and outdoor activities makes it an ideal venue for the training and development of staff teams. Teambuilding & outdoor activities may be interspersed with more formal training in the Walsh Hall. The outdoor activities are easily adapted for use with adult groups regardless of ability or experience and our trained staff will be happy to help you put together an itinerary to meet your individual requirements. A sample itinerary may be found below:

09.30 Arrival, Welcome Coffee & Briefing

10.00 – 11.00 ‘Adventure Solutions’ teambuilding activities

11.00 – 11.15 Break for Coffee

11.15 – 13.00 Orienteering

13.00 – 14.00 Lunch

14.00 – 15.00 Trebuchet – a fun problem solving activity

15.00 – 15.15 Break for Coffee

15.15 – 16.45 High Ropes – The pinnacle of achievement requiring trust, responsibility and co-operative working in order to succeed.

16.45 – 17.00 Review. A chance to catch your breath and reflect on the days activities

17.00 Depart

Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking Procedures

Whilst Paccar Scout Camp is a Scout facility it regrets that bookings are only accepted from organised groups and recognised organisations and not from individual members of the public.

A provisional booking may be made by contacting Paccar Scout Camp.

You will be required to confirm the booking by signing and returning the reservation sent by us within 28 days. If it is not returned within this period it will be assumed that the booking is no longer required and facilities maybe re-sold.

Deposit

A Deposit of 50% of the total cost for buildings and 25% total cost per camping pitch must be sent back when confirming your booking: For non Scout and Guide users the remainder must be paid in full at least 30 days before your arrival . All cheques must be payable to GLMW CHALFONT A/C we will issue a receipt for all payments received.

Cancellation by the client

Paccar Scout Camp reserves the right to charge cancellation fees in accordance with the following:

1. Cancellation or reduction in numbers/facilities required notified less than 30 days prior to visit will incur full charges in respect of the number of reduced places and or facilities.

2. Cancellation or reduction in numbers/facilities required notified between 90 and 30 days prior to visit will incur 25% of total charges in respect of the number of reduced places and or facilities.

Cancellation by Paccar Scout Camp

Should Paccar Scout Camp need to cancel any booking or part of a booking it will notify clients as soon as possible. Should an activity or programme be cancelled by Paccar Scout Camp a full refund or a similar activity will be offered on the same or alternative dates This does not apply in the event of Paccar Scout Camp cancelling a programme or activity due to clients not fulfilling the minimum number of participants for any given activity or programme.

Liabilities

Paccar Scout Camp can only be held liable for damage, loss or injury if it can be shown that an employee, servant or agent has been negligent by act or omission and that this was the cause of the loss or injury.

Insurance

Whilst Paccar Scout Camp holds its own public and employers liability insurance you are advised to take out additional insurance to cover the risk of accidents, loss or damage to personal possessions, illness and cancellation.

Conduct

Conduct that is considered to be disruptive, contrary to good order or prejudicial to the interest of safety at Paccar Scout Camp may result in the removal of individuals or groups from the site. In the unlikely event of this occurring, Paccar Scout Camp accepts no liability and no refund will be available.

Complaints

Should you have a complaint it is important that you let us know immediately so that we are afforded the opportunity to put things right. If your complaint cannot be resolved you should report this to the Duty Manager who will deal with the complaint in accordance with Paccar Scout Camps complaints procedure.
